Hyeok Hweon Kang is an Assistant Professor of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Washington University in St. Louis, where he works and teaches on early modern Korea and East Asia, with a focus on the history of science and technology, material culture, and global history.
Huang Gang (Jade)
Huang Gang is a PhD student in Chinese and Comparative Literature at Washington University in St. Louis. She conducts a transnational study of East Asian geopolitics in the post-Cold War era, with a focus on totalitarianism and bio-politics. Some keywords of her research involve aesthetic politics, revolutions, propaganda, and student movements. Huang Gang is also a poet and a desperate foodie.
